Heart CPR Training Terms, Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

Important Legal Agreement – Please Read Carefully

This agreement includes a release of liability and waiver of your right to sue.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not register or participate in training.

This Agreement is incorporated into all registrations completed through Heart CPR’s booking system, including Enrollware.

By registering, completing payment, or attending training, you agree to be legally bound by this Agreement.

For and in consideration of participation in CPR, First Aid, and related training provided by Heart CPR (“Company”), including certification courses, hybrid training, skills sessions, and use of CPR verification stations (“Training”), Participant agrees as follows:

1. Voluntary Participation

Participation in Training is voluntary. You may stop at any time if experiencing discomfort or inability to continue.

2. Assumption of Risk

Training involves physical activity and inherent risks. You voluntarily assume all risks, including but not limited to:

  • Injury to hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, neck, or back
  • Muscle soreness or fatigue
  • Slips, trips, or falls
  • Dizziness, shortness of breath, or overexertion
  • Aggravation of pre-existing conditions
You assume all risks, including those arising from ordinary negligence.

3. Fitness to Participate

You confirm you are physically able to participate. If unsure, you should not participate.

4. Instructor-Led & Self-Directed Training

Heart CPR offers both instructor-led and self-directed training.

  • Some sessions may not have an instructor physically present
  • Some sessions may be fully self-directed with no instructor onsite
  • The presence of an instructor does not eliminate risk
  • You are responsible for following all instructions
  • You must use equipment safely and properly
  • You must stop if experiencing discomfort or unsafe conditions
You understand that some training may occur without an instructor onsite and accept full responsibility for participation.

5. Release of Liability

You agree to release and not sue Heart CPR, its owners, instructors, employees, and affiliates for any injury, damage, or loss arising from participation, including claims of ordinary negligence.

This includes personal injury, illness, property damage, or death.

6. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Heart CPR from any claims resulting from your participation.

7. No Medical Services

Training is educational only. Heart CPR does not provide medical care.

8. No Warranties

All training is provided “as is” without warranties.

9. Program Policies (Binding Terms of Purchase)

All sales are final. No cancellations or refunds.

Your registration reserves a specific class date, time, and seat.

Failure to attend does not qualify as “services not rendered.”

Rescheduling is available for a $35 non-refundable fee (one time only), either before your class or as a make-up if missed.

Optional Reschedule Insurance ($10) allows up to two reschedules with no fee and is non-refundable.

10. Minor Participants

If registering a minor, you agree to all terms on their behalf.

11. Limitation of Liability

Heart CPR is not liable for indirect or incidental damages.

12. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by California law. Venue is Orange County, CA.

13. Severability

If any part is invalid, the remaining terms still apply.

14. Final Acknowledgment

By registering, paying, or attending training, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree to this Agreement and are giving up important legal rights.

This Agreement applies to all registrations made through Enrollware or any Heart CPR booking platform.

Rescheduling Policy

Participants may reschedule their class one time, subject to availability.

  • Standard Courses: $35 non-refundable rescheduling fee
  • Instructor Courses: $100 non-refundable rescheduling fee

Reschedules may be completed before the scheduled class start time or as a make-up if the class is missed.

Reschedule Insurance (Optional)

Reschedule insurance may be purchased at the time of registration.

  • Allows up to two reschedules with no fee
  • Applies only to the original registration
  • Non-refundable and non-transferable

No-Show Policy

Failure to attend your scheduled class without rescheduling will result in forfeiture of all fees. No-shows are not eligible for refunds, credits, or additional rescheduling.

Late Arrival Policy

Participants who arrive late may not be admitted to class and may be required to reschedule, subject to the rescheduling policy and applicable fees.

Course Format

Heart CPR offers a variety of training formats, including instructor-led, hybrid, and self-directed training.

Some sessions may be completed without an instructor onsite. Participants are responsible for following all posted, verbal, and on-screen instructions and for participating safely.

Course Materials & Online Training

Certain courses include online or digital components. Once access to any online course is issued or activated, it is considered used and is non-refundable.

Course Cancellations by Heart CPR

Heart CPR reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course. If this occurs, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another available class.

  • 72 or more hours before class: $30 cancellation fee
  • 48 to 72 hours before class: $40 cancellation fee
  • 24 to 48 hours before class: $45 cancellation fee
  • Less than 24 hours before class: No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class, rescheduled classes or for no-shows.

Important: Refund eligibility applies only to the original scheduled class. Once a class has been rescheduled, the registration becomes non-refundable, and no refunds or credits will be issued.

Participants who miss their class without prior notice may request a make-up session for a $40 non-refundable fee. Requests must be submitted within 30 days and are subject to availability. Submit a make-up request

To cancel a class, all participants must submit a cancellation request by email. Refunds will be processed minus a cancellation fee based on how far in advance the cancellation is made, as noted below:

  • 72 or more hours before class: $25 cancellation fee
  • 48 to 72 hours before class: $30 cancellation fee
  • 24 to 48 hours before class: $35 cancellation fee
  • Less than 24 hours before class: No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class or for no-shows.

Heart CPR reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course. In such cases, participants will be offered a full refund or a free transfer to another scheduled class.

Participants may reschedule prior to the class start time for a non-refundable $50 rescheduling fee. Reschedule your class

Make-Up Policy:
Participants who miss their class without prior notice may request a make-up session for a $75 non-refundable fee. Requests must be submitted within 30 days and are subject to availability. Submit a make-up request

  • 72 or more hours before class: $50 cancellation fee
  • 48 to 72 hours before class: $75 cancellation fee
  • 24 to 48 hours before class: $100 cancellation fee
  • Less than 24 hours before class: No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class or for no-shows.

Participants who miss their class without prior notice may request a make-up session for a $75 non-refundable fee. Requests must be submitted within 30 days and are subject to availability. Submit a make-up request

  • 72 or more hours before class: $50 cancellation fee

Refund Policy:
Class fees are nonrefundable and no refunds will be issued once fees have been submitted. Class materials and supplies such as course manuals and textbooks, CPR masks and all other class supplies are nonrefundable.

Transfer Policy:
The class transfer fee is $150 and registered participants are required to complete a Transfer Request at least 72 hours prior to the class date in order to be eligible to transfer. Transfers will only be granted if space is available in a future class with-in 60 days of the original class date. Only (1) transfer is allowed per registration.

Note:Instructor class space is extremely limited. If a registered participant decides to leave the class for any reason, they will NOT receive a refund and will NOT be eligible to transfer to a different class.

No Show Policy:
If a registered participant is a no-show and absent from their scheduled class, the participant will not receive a refund of any kind and is not eligible for a class transfer.

Cancelled Class Policy:
Heart CPR reserves the right to cancel classes as needed. In the event a class is canceled registered participants will be offered a transfer to a different class at no additional charge or a full refund.

Refund Policy:
Class fees are nonrefundable and no refunds will be issued once fees have been submitted. Class materials and supplies such as course manuals and textbooks, CPR masks and all other class supplies are nonrefundable.

Transfer Policy:
The class transfer fee is $75.00 and registered participants are required to complete a Transfer Request at least 72 hours prior to the class date in order to be eligible to transfer. Transfers will only be granted if space is available in a future class with-in 60 days of the original class date. Only (1) transfer is allowed per registration.

Note: Instructor class space is extremely limited. If a registered participant decides to leave the class for any reason, they will NOT receive a refund and will NOT be eligible to transfer to a different class.

Please allow up to 24 hours for access after your order has been placed. Online course access is manually assigned, and orders placed after hours will be processed the next day.

Online courses are non-refundable once the registration has been processed and access has been issued. Please ensure you are enrolling in the correct course before completing your purchase.

 You have 45 days from the purchase date to complete the course. 

Class Deposit:
A class deposit of $250 is required at time of reservation. The class deposit is non-refundable and will be applied to the balance due on the final invoice.

Payment:
Unless prior arrangements have been made, final payment is due at the time service is rendered. We accept business checks (no personal checks), ACH payments and credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Amex. Payment by credit card must be made prior to the class date by completing the credit card authorization form below.

Rescheduling Policy:
Classes rescheduled prior to 72 hours of the scheduled class date may be rescheduled free of charge by calling 1-800-916-1213. For classes rescheduled with less than 72 hours notice a fee of $150 is due at the time of the reschedule.

Cancelation Policy:
There is a $250 cancelation fee for all canceled classes.
